)
A good book for non-physicists on gravitational wave detection and the history of the field is
Einstein's Unfinished Symphony: Listening to the Sounds of Space-Time
by Marcia Bartusiak
Joseph Henry Press, 2000.
With this book you'll read about gravitational waves, and the main players in the field including many of the current Einstein@home users.
Another good book for non-physicists, perhaps with more on the science but less on the people involved is
Ripples on a Cosmic Sea: The Search for Gravitational Waves
by David G. Blair, Geoff McNamara, Paul Davies
Perseus Books Group, 1999.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Thank you Rejean let us hope
