I'm fast running out of work, despite crunching it on a midrange Mac.... and my 32 WU/day-quota restriction ain't expiring for another 10 hours, thanks to the distribution of extremely short-length WUs.

I was wondering, is it possible to "transplant" inactive WUs from another PC to my Mac, since my rigged-to-undercrunch PC has been assigned an optimised client that will produce consistent WUs at a slower rate..? If it's possible, will it affect the WU validation that has been assigned for that particular PC when the said WUs are returned from my Mac instead..?

Moving WUs to crunch on another machine...

I'm sure there are many who would know much more than I but I don't think PC to Mac would work and even if it did I don't think the WU's could be uploaded by a Mac they would have to be transferred back and uploaded by the original machine.

Anyone know for sure?

What you need to do is

What you need to do is reregister your machine under a new ID, slurp 32 fresh WUS and then merge it back with the old one.

It isn't the same issue as yours, but you might get some ideas from this thread. It's what I did when my old computer died last week (and it wasn't supposed to work). Whatever you try, make sure you have a good back-up plan.
