Move this I can't post there
)
Actually it is probably best left here because it isn't a problem with the new beta test app.
There seem to be lots of issues with these 6.1.x BOINC versions. Might be a good idea to move to 6.2.x ASAP.
The tasks you crunch depend on a series of about 12-16 large data files. This is telling you that one file in the series is corrupt and this was noticed when the science app checked the MD5 checksum for that file. The program terminates as soon as such corruption is noticed. I've seen this happen before a couple of times and I've wondered if BOINC should pause the program rather than terminating it and then attempt to download a fresh copy of the corrupt file before giving up entirely. You only had one task in your cache so you only lost one task. when it has happened to me I've seen several tasks (all in the cache that depend on the corrupt data file) get suddenly wasted when the corrupt data file is discovered.
Subsequently, when BOINC decides to get more work, if it downloads fresh tasks that depend on the same corrupt data file, a fresh copy of that data file will be downloaded first and then all will be back to normal. You don't have any fresh tasks in your cache at the moment but I suspect all will be fine when BOINC decides to get more E@H work. My assumption is that some network glitch caused a data file to be corrupted while being downloaded. Fortunately it doesn't seem to happen very often.
Cheers,
Gary.

Why test BOINC 6.1.0 if much
)
Why test BOINC 6.1.0 if much later ones were out already? Or are you using one of the versions not released by Berkeley, but by 3rd party?
Else, if you want to test BOINC 6, just download the latest available for your OS from the BOINC download site.
Hello, Jord RE: Why test
)
Hello, Jord
I was testing the 3th party 6.1 to do an credit comparison and affinity test with Project's that give fixed credit.
I already did this after Gary pointed Me to it, I'm now the proud owner of Boinc 6.2.1. :)
Thx for the reply.
Best regards
Mac-Nic
