Go to "Your Account", "Preferences", "General" "View or edit general preferences", which would bring you here, and in "Network usage", choose "Connect to network about every xx days", and set this value to some 2 or 2.5.
After this in Boinc choose "update" in order to bring this value on your PC.
Once you have downloaded a cache of WU's, you can still adapt once again this value in function of what you wish.
