Somebody in authority needs to look at the list of computers for user ID 54612. There appears to be more than 6000 in the list, all identical, and all but the first two (so it seems - I didn't check more than a dozen or two) having a single associated work unit.
Potentially a lot of trashed work units there....
Cheers,
Gary.

More than 6000 phantom computers???
)
Look at the name of this user :-)
But yes, I agree looks really like phantom machines.

In what way trashed? It only means each WU has a result that won't come back in time, which isn't a problem since its sent out four times.
Trashed as in wasted.

Trashed as in wasted. There'll probably be enough other random failures in that large body of work to require a significant number of resends and all of that unfortunately is a bit of a waste. Not to mention results having to stay in the database for longer before being deleted and users having extra pendings and hence delays in awarding credit.
Cheers,
Gary.

Heh... I didn't take much notice of that....
Maybe he has another 6000 still to create :).

Are you talking to me???
I've already posted in that thread, trying to draw the user's attention to the rather unusual problem he has. When there seemed to be no response from him, I started this one in case the admins needed to be alerted. He is hardly going to try to merge or delete 6000+ phantom computers so I guess his best bet is to wipe the slate clean and start again. Maybe the admins can delete them for him. Nobody seems terribly concerned about it so I'll just shut up and mind my own business.
Cheers,
Gary.

Why not? There is a 'select all' option when merging. It might take a few minutes to process, but it should be painless.
