I uploaded this result several days ago (don't remember exactly when :P ) ,and I know that the
site doesn't show "pending" instantly...
BUT.. because it took 30h to crunch that one (the only one.) I detached Einstein from that computer.
(after I uploaded the successful result manually.)
I'm gonna let it just do Setijobs for now.
My question is if that detaching destroyed that
result? (it's getting very close to deadline now.)

Or was it when that crash occured ?
No claims here... just wondering. :)

Missing result because detach?

Did you just upload it, not report it as well?

When a file has uploaded, you'll see in the Work tab of the GUI that the unit is "ready to report". That's an extra thing that has to be done, usually by manually updating the project (Project tab, rightclick on the project, choose Update. That's the way in CC4.19)

If you didn't report the unit, the server may have the data back, but it doesn't know that you finished with it. Until that time it'll stay open. If you pass the deadline without having reported it, the unit will come up as a failed.

There is no way to report this unit once you have detached from the project. In such cases, just shrug it off.

Good idea! Suggest you post it here:
http://bbugs.axpr.net
(they will pay more attention if it doesn't come from me!)

Are you sure? They don't seem to pay much attention to anybody.

In fact they do -- it's just that they are so busy trying to track down and fix the problems that often not much time is left for responding to 'the customers'.
