As a rank amateur compared to the titans here, I am modestly proud to have completed 6 million work units. I will continue here as long as there is data to crunch. Major congratulations to all who are "fighting the good fight". Excelsior!
Well Bhagwanmike some of us have to know everything about this thing we call the Universe and once started here we never stop and since computers are part of this we have to master those too.
And then we tend to see if we can get more computers and add video cards and power supplies and memory.......and try not to triple the light bill.
Some lucky ones get to use someone else's computers too.
But we all started with those old slower pc's back in 2005
(I still keep mine on my list even though they are probably all recycled)
I remember when my PIII 500 with that NEW Windows XP Pro was supposed to be fast
150M a few days back.
My HD 280X is probably getting damaged - produces a lot of invalids.. Will need to replace it with something else - a Fury might be good.
Currently I love the 750 Ti's - they produce a solid score for a very low power and temperatures. I can let them run also during hot summer days without having to worry..

Finally broke the 1 million mark, thanks to a lack of work at Seti. This took me a long time but it feels good.
