I will throw my CONGRATULATIONS in there too!!! You certainly deserve it!!!
Thanks Mikey "GeForce 560"
That's just a spare one I had laying around when I built my Linux machine, I am just happy to be able to make Linux work for me with both the cpu AND the gpu!! My 'normal' ones are AMD 7970's and Nvidia 760's, oh and an AMD 6970 or two thrown in there too. I think I still have an AMD 5870 laying around, but am not really sure if it works anymore or not. I know my used parts that may not work anymore bin is filling up again though!! I will have to find the time to go thru it and weed out those that really are dead.

Yeah that 560 is running great considering how the cover is removed and the fans since they were the only worn out parts.
I may put it in another pc since it has been in my old 3-core the whole time so running the 2 vLHC' and a CMS at the same time will slow it down (makes the CPU run at 100%) but when I watch it I can trick it into running the 3 tasks and 2 GPU's and it runs at the normal time (AMD Phenom)but when I don't keep an eye on it will slow down and take almost twice as long.
So next rainy day I am going to put that 560 in a quad core and take its 650 and put that in the 3-core and that will bring my RAC back up over 260,000
I am trying to get my other older quad back to life since I have an old 550Ti 1GB.......I can't get the HD to load the Win7 from my disc.......so if I had a HD with the OS working I think it would come back to life and I would have all 7 running again

If you have a valid number you could load Win10 on it, with the Win7 number, and be done with it, of course you couldn't go back to Win7 without getting it to load though.

Oh yeah it is a valid Win7 disc and I have used it many times before and updated all but one to Windows 10 already. (and been on the phone with my neighbor aka Microsoft
I just can't get this one pc to boot up or let me do a clean install with the Win7 disc so I could then switch to Win10
Today as far as the one with the 560Ti I just stopped running the CMS tasks so it leaves a free core and the 560 is running back at full speed again.

That's what I'm trying to say, you don't NEED to go thru the hoops of installing Win7 THEN upgrading to Win10 anymore, you can do a clean install of Win10 using your Win7 number now.

I don't have Win 10 on a disc yet since I just did the online d/l the 5 times I have done that and it takes hours just to do it that way.
I could d/l it again for making the disc but it takes a long time on my dsl and then burn a disc I don't know if it will load on that HD any better than my Win7 disc was doing.
(it slowed my dsl down for the other ones while I did a d/l install from the url last night)
BUT on the ones I did this on they all sure worked great and for free and I did all those upgrades while I left Boinc running so when it finished the install and reboot they were all still running those same tasks!
Never could do that before on a clean install of an OS

If you've downloaded it 5 times already it's probably still on your harddrive, I am not near my the hd I downloaded it on but maybe a search can tell you exactly what file it is.

Sheeesh.....I need to take notes I guess......about 32 hours each (660 creds)
I better just stick to GPU tasks here.
