Well, guys

I've a couple of problems.

1st i think that my system isn't running as fast as it should, while it has muscles to calculate with its 2Ghz Intel Core Duo and 1024MB RAM. I let my mac calculate continiously. but still not fast enough i think.

What can i do to make the system work faster?
What should my system be able to produce?
how can i compere the theoretical production numbers with actual numbers?
Will a macintel optimized boinc appear in the near future???

2nd... The sreensaver seems to crash my boinc as soon as i push the button. It simply crashes.. Well that was exactly the reason i switched from windows to MAC OSX.

Why those that happen? When will it be solved? How can i get a desent working screensaver on my machine? it gives at least the means to visialize what the project is ment for

You can use PC Wizard 2006 free from this site. With it you can see how fast your processor is running along with alot of other info concerning your computer. Sorry I can't help you on the other stuff.

Your host requests work for

Your host requests work for PPC

Maybe this is caused by the fact that BOINC 5.2.13 does not know about
MAC/Intel. Try to download the BOINC beta application.

beta download

Nothing. The 5.2.x Client

Nothing. The 5.2.x Client doesn't know about Mac Intel platform yet, so it runs the MacOS PPC App (and the benchmark, too) in PPC emulation, that's why it is so slow. It's also true that the emulated App crashes when trying to run OpenGL graphics, though I don't precisely know why. The 5.3.x client reports the correct platform and thus downloads a "native" App.
