Not quite sure what is happening with the get_local_network_info.
I don't know if it's the way I have installed Boinc or a problem with
my G5 configuration. This keeps showing up, I have tried the Unix

advice is greatly appreciated.

Mac OS X: Has Anyone Encountered This Problem?
)
Well, just in case anyone is interested, or may be experiencing
the same problem, I just edited my etc/hosts file and added
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost xxxxxxx.local
x= hostname.
I then re-attached to boinc e@h and got the following:
2006-03-31 01:46:37 [---] Starting BOINC client version 4.44 for powerpc-apple-darwin
2006-03-31 01:46:37 [---] Data directory: /Users/jaco/boinc

2006-03-31 01:46:37 [---] No general preferences found - using BOINC defaults
2006-03-31 01:46:37 [---] Insufficient work; requesting more
So far everything seems ok....
Sorry for the redundancy, hope this may help someone.

You can find this message detailed on this boinc-wiki page.
Unfortunately there wasn't any info available in the wiki concerning the gethostbyname failed messages. Sry.
