Hi,

I have around 68 Gamma-ray pulsar binary search #1 tasks (GPUs v1.20 (FGRPopencl1K-nvidia) windows_x86_64GPU) as "Completed, waiting for validation" and some of them were reported on Jul 7, 2018.

Examples from various daytes: (Last two are recent)

https://einsteinathome.org/task/769452543

https://einsteinathome.org/task/771963351

https://einsteinathome.org/task/771954628

What seems to be the issue as I currently have 5 tasks running on my client.

Thanks,

O&O

The 'issue' is that some people return their work reasonably quickly whilst others may take the full two weeks.  And, of course, there is a significant number, who (for whatever reason) never return the work at all.  You just need to wait patiently for your 'wingman' (or your replacement wingman - or perhaps your replacement, replacement wingman) to eventually send in a valid result.

If you take any of those tasks you listed and click on the associated workunit ID, you'll be able to see exactly what you are waiting for.  I don't know why you are so stressed about this.  Eventually, every single one will get validated, one way or another :-).  Since you joined in December 05, I would have thought you'd be well used to this by now :-).

Cheers,
Gary.

I totally forgot about the Quorum. My apologies...Sealed
I don't even remember if it was there back in 2005. I did few WUs and stopped BOINC for long time.

That's OK - no problem.  I'm happy to see you back again!

It was just the same back in 2005.  There's always a proportion of tasks that take a long time to be validated.  I can remember some cases where the final validation took maybe 6 to 8 weeks or more.  It's just the luck of the draw as to how prompt your 'wingman' (or series of wingmen) will turn out to be.  Once a 'steady state' has been reached, old tasks being validated tend to make up for new tasks being added to the 'pending' state.  It all tends to even out in the end.

Cheers,
Gary.
