Hi!
If you are living near Berlin or plan to visit Berlin, Germany's capital, in the next few weeks, you might consider to visit the "Weltmaschine" exhibition there.
The exhibition is installed in an unserviced subway station near the Reichstag in Berlin's government district ("Haltestelle Bundestag") and will stay open until Nov. 16th. The exhibition features gigantic photos of LHC under construction which come across very "authentic" in the underground subway tunnel. There are also several "hands on" demo experiments, scale models of detectors and accelerators as well as some original parts from the LHC. There are also several CERN scientists which will guide groups thru the exhibition (in German, not sure there are foreign language tours). Poster texts and multimedia terminals are in German and English.
Admission is free of charge.
