Yo! Big relief. I have re-certified, with flying colors, my ATLS study + exam. Nine real life simulated scenarios ( viva voce ) , with clocking ticking plus an MCQ at the end. Happy fella ..... :-)

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

Isn't it funny how that happens, the more you make the more you find new things you can't live without!!

I got the obstetrics as well. It's not the money that motivates here. I could drop the emergency and/or obstetric interests & easily do much more lucrative but rather less stressful work. It's the challenge and the hope of good outcomes when the time comes to test the knowledge. :-S

One thing I happily live without is TV. It's a shocker DownUnda. Give me a good book to read, or a walk of the dog, anything's better than media blather/spin/twaddle in our so called "Information Age". I go with Mark Twain here “If you don't read the newspaper, you're uninformed. If you read the newspaper, you're mis-informed.”

plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose .....

Cheers, Mike.

CONGRATULATIONS on being a multi-disciplinarian!!!

I could not go without my tv, I do not use it for background noise though like some people do, at least not during the day when I'm home, it's on because I'm watching something or getting ready to watch something. I have shows most nights of the week that interest me and record all of them in case I miss them. I do delete the recordings, or stop them if I'm actually watching the show, once I do watch them. When I watch the 'talking heads' I do watch both sides so I can get the perspective of both sides instead of just one.
