That's a very busy sectional chart ! Do I see some wind farms there to run into also ? :-))

Cheers, Mike.

Captains log - supplemental

We returned to Terra for crew changes and modifications. We noted that there is widespread concern that drones are in fact now so evolved, that they control the people that bought them. The Galactic Federation are shortly to bring in laws to ban Drones from owning humans.

Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)

Combine that with David's drone and ... you'd have
a comprehensive surveillance network.

@David

A. How 'windy' does it have to be to ground the drone ?

B. On a full charge, how much flight time do you get ?

Yes a busy chart, but any showing class B airspace will be. Yes looks like some wind farms.

Bill,

Thanks. When you are retired you need something to occupy your mind. I learned a lot on this build, mostly about servos and 3d printing and how I could apply 3d printing to this effort. If you watched the video you may have noticed about a 3 sec latency in the video, i.e., by the time I realized I hit the object I would have gone beyond it. Today I improved upon the latency to about 1/2 sec.

As for David's quad I could add an LZ to the top. Landing on a moving platform would really test a pilots skill especially if I decide to do a "pirouette". :>)

@Richard

The motors that came with this chassis are incredibly "strong"- low gear ratio = low rpm high torque at the axle. They are powered by a 12 volt 2AA battery pack. So yes it could tow a launch platform. Its current weight with 3 battery packs - one each for pi, servos and track motors - is about 5 lbs. It needs to go on a diet. With a 3d printer I can reduce the weight, build in cable/wiring trays, and battery pack compartments to give it a finished look. Cutting/drilling Lexan, Plexiglass, and aluminum bar for the "parts you need is more difficult then it needs to be.

Though - and this is no doubt a total coincidence - those offices were of the company "Advanced Tax Services". :-)

Perhaps he wanted to review a prior decision of his, or fast forward to a time when he gets out of jail for evasion.

ASIDE : You wouldn't do alot of business with the name "Retarded Tax Services". In any case a claim of temporary insanity is a great ploy to get back at your accountant .....

Cheers, Mike.
