I appear to have managed to gain multiple accounts somehow and not sure what to do about it.

I was looking at my account on the site and it said that I have a total of 4,885.

But if I look at own screen it only says 2,386
And when I look at the combined stats using Einstein I get ONLY the Einstein stats but if I use any other of my projects it will not show the Einstein project stats.

I have no idea what I could have done to mess this all up as the same account name and email address is used for all of them!

Help me please!
(If only to clean up the system a teeny bit!)

Thank you

Issues which multiple accounts

To log in on the other account, to make sure you and your computers are on the same account, do the following:

Go to Your account and Log Out.
Immediately load that link to Your account again and you'll be asked to log in again, now take the little blue link to "Forgot password?".

You're going to log in with your account key. To find your account key, open the account_einstein.phys.uwm.edu.xml file in your BOINC (Data) directory (*). By just clicking on the file, it usually opens up in your web browser. Else use Notepad or another text editor to edit the file.

(*) For BOINC 5.10 and below this file is found in your BOINC directory, by default at C:\Program Files\BOINC
For BOINC 6.1 and above this file is found in your BOINC Data directory, by default at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\BOINC\ (Windows 2000/XP) or C:\ProgramData\BOINC (Vista).

Look for a 32 character key string in between the tags.
Copy this key. Close account_.xml (do NOT save it when you opened it in a text editor! Just close it).

Go to the Project web page that is still open on the Forgot your password link. Paste the 32 character key string into the option "log in with account key" and press the Log in with account key button.

You can now change your password on the correct account, or change any of the preferences and have BOINC contact the project to get the updated preferences in.

Accounts cannot be merged or deleted.

Thanks for helping me set the numbers straight!
I did as you suggested and it worked like a charm..

Now to the other bit....

Would I need to dump the account I have now and make a new one to have this one merge with my other 3?

I'm not a credit hoarder, so I'll not miss the number such as it is...I would just like to be able to see the credit for all my projects in one place

Thank you for the help!

The only way to 'fix' this is to stop crunching for all of your accounts except one and then let the others just be. You could actually change the email address to something non existent like but that is not necessary. What is needed is for you to pick one and ONLY crunch for it.

After you have this you could always make your own Team and put all of your accounts, including the one you are now crunching with, into it. Of course if you are already on a Team this won't work.
