I would have to take a drive to this planet and see I could find a nice piece of property and maybe see if I could send and recieve signals back here to Earth.......you know in case I want to use my computers or watch some satellite tv.

You might want to check on the habitability of planets whose host star is a red dwarf (see Wiki's Red Dwarf page). Might be better to call first – you'll have to wait about 40 years for the reply, tho' :)

Playing twitch games (Quake, Counterstrike etc.) with people on Earth would certainly set new standards for lag.
Well I just got a reply from

Well I just got a reply from the planet's HAL 3000 (via my old 10ft KU-band dish)and they said there would be no problem with the red dwarf star Chipper!
They predict it to last another 100,000 years before "global cooling" will begin (they mentioned something about Al Gore)
They did suggest that I bring some of Earth's plant life to help things there so I figured bringing some of my giant sequoia seedlings would help.
I won't have that game playing problem Jan.....I tried "pong" when I was 19yrs old and didn't like that so I never have used my pc's for that (now my son would just bring what ever that game machine he uses with him even though he is almost 25yrs old)
I would just mainly have to have my satellite dish updated to about a 75ft KU-band so I could still process the data and watch the tv shows I tend to watch all the time.
(I built my first dish back in the winter of 1982)
