Hello Crew,

I have stopped receiving new TASKS since 08/26/2022 ( or so this is not exact )? When you have a moment can anyone let me know what I am doing wrong or if there is an issue at your servers I am not aware of and thanks !

You need to give us some more

You need to give us some more information.  What tasks... what project... Einstein?... your profile shows nothing... your computers are hidden... we can help you if you can provide more information.

Dear GWGeorge007, Thank you

Dear GWGeorge007,

Thank you for your response. I was processing Eisnstien@Home work. I apologize for having my computers hidden, but I was not aware they were. This is about all I know it was running fine and then less and less work unites loaded up, until now I have none?

However I went into the OPTIONS / COMPUTER PREFERENCES / USE NO MORE THAN MEMORY and discovered that I had accidentally changed the memory 0.10 GB and when I increased this, suddenly work units appear in my TASKS.

Thanks for your help, and if you know a way to make my computers visible for future issues, let me know.

Hello Joseph, I'm glad

Hello Joseph,

I'm glad that you finally found your "problem" and got it working again.  Congrats.

Let’s get you set up so that others at BOINC and Einstein can see your computer. Don’t worry, it is safe (as can be possible) and it won’t be seen by anyone on the internet. Just those at BOINC and Einstein that wish to help.

On your Einstein website make sure you are on the <Account> page.

Just below Account select <Preferences>.

Just below Preferences select <Privacy>.

Under <Privacy Settings> you will see a line that reads:

“ Should Einstein@Home show your computers on its website?: YES / NO “

Select YES.

Below that you will see another line that reads:

“ Do you consent to exporting your data to BOINC statistics aggregation websites?: YES / NO “

Select YES.

At the bottom of the page select “ SAVE CHANGES

Next, back towards the top where...

Preferences Computing | Project | Community | Privacy | Subscriptions

...is displayed, select <Project>.

Under <Applications> please let us know exactly what applications you are running.

Myself, I only run one. Yours may be different.

Applications

Run only the selected applications

     Binary Radio Pulsar Search (Arecibo)

Binary Radio Pulsar Search (Arecibo, fast)

     Binary Radio Pulsar Search (MeerKAT)

     Gamma-ray pulsar binary search #1

     Gamma-ray pulsar search #5

X   Gamma-ray pulsar binary search #1 (GPU)

     Gravitational Wave search O2 Multi-Directional

Gravitational Wave search O2 Multi-Directional GPU

     Gravitational Wave search O3 All-Sky

Again, at the bottom of the page select “ SAVE CHANGES

That’s it. Your computer(s) will now be seen by others willing to help.

Once you have completed those little tasks, I (we) can help.

Dear GWGeorge007, Thank

Dear GWGeorge007,

Thank you, as typical the "problem" was the loose nut behind the wheel, as they say ( smile ).

I believe I have changed my preferences according to your instructions.

I had a BIONIC / SETI project that had been running for almost 10+ years, but I recently changed that to the Eistien@Home Project.

This issue came about because I was attempting to keep the POWER, MEMORY, and GPU and CPU usage for the BIONIC Software down to a minimum, believing this would be best for the overall lifespan of the hardware, so if you have any recommendations for overall Memory and CPU / GPU Settings that you feel are best, I would be open to your wisdom.

Regardless I appreciate your time and effort in this and sending you my thanks.

Okay, thanks for updating

Okay, thanks for updating your account to show your computer(s).  I know that your computer can be seen now, I'm just waiting for BOINCstats.  It will take a few days for BOINCstats to pick up on your computer so that we can all see your progress.  ;^)

The easiest answer is the project percentage you have for each, ie if both are set to the same number then both would be doing an equal amount of RAC over time.

...sorry not sure what RAC

...sorry not sure what RAC is?  its weird, my tablet is working fine getting tasks and completing them, id think my Macbook would take more of the brunt...not sure how that works exactly...
