Hello, I've just joined the protect. I've configured my pc yesterday. however, my main GPU (Geforce GTX 280) load is always hovering around 50%. How can I make it go all the way to 100%?
Also, I own a second GPU (Geforce GT 220). How can I configure the client so it works with that one too?
Thanks!

Hello and welcome.
The only way to increase GPU load is to run more than one task at once. You will need an app_info.xml file to make that happen. If you are interested in doing this, I can post a link to a sample file.
To run a mixed GPU setup via BOINC where all GPUs participate in CUDA projects, you will need to create the following XML file in the BOINC directory containing the client_state.xml file.
cc_config.xml

Keep in mind that if you setup an app_info.xml file to run multiple tasks per GPU, that the number of tasks will be the same for all GPUs. Each task requires 300-350MB of GPU memory.

I've just successfully got my second GPU to work. Thanks for this.
Could you please post the app_info sample? I'd like to have multiple tasks run at once.
Thanks!
[EDIT]
I've also noticed that having my GPUs working that much increase my DPC Latency so much that listening to music/video is quite impossible. Any ways to fix this?

You can't, since neither your GTX 280, nor your GT 220 are capable of running multiple tasks at once. Only Fermi style videocards and GPUs can do that. Those are the GT(X) 4xx and 5xx cards.

You'll have to decide if you want to use your video card as such or as computing device. You can't have both. ;-)
You could exclude the GPU that does the music/video business from BOINC crunching. See N in the BOINC wiki.

And while you are at the BOINC wiki, you can also check out the
important.exe option that allows you to configure (on that particular PC) which application(s) should make BOINC stop using the GPU for crunching (e.g. video playback or recording software etc).

Sorry for the delay. Here are two sample app_info files for Windows platform.

well, it worked for me on my GTX-260 and on the GTS-250..
