Do you mean DDR2-800, PC2-6400? With an operating frequency of 800MHz.
If so, they get warm to the touch, but nothing serious. Maybe 35-40C when the RAM is being heavily stressed.
The heatspreaders that come with many modern kits are enough to keep them cool(ish). If you're picky like me, or overclock, a small fan rigged up to cool your RAM can really help lower temperature.
There are 10^11 stars in the galaxy. That used to be a huge number. But it's only a hundred billion. It's less than the national deficit! We used to call them astronomical numbers. Now we should call them economical numbers. - Richard Feynman
"How hot", not hot at all. Like Burbank said, just warm. Varies with voltage and brand of chips used, the Micron GMH chips used in typical overclocking RAM can handle high voltages without too much heat. I had a pair of 800MHz BallistiX running at 1233MHz 2.2v, nice and warm when running Prime95, no fan, still not warm enough to make even the most cautious PC user worried. :)
Mine is just barely warm to the touch. It is slightly overclocked, and slightly over-volted (from spec 1.8 to 1.9). Folks who push up clock and volts more will get warmer.
As mentioned before, mine have heat spreaders, and my case has pretty good fans (2x 92mm input, 1x120mm output, plus 120mm output integral to the power supply).
