I want to use only one processor at home and school, but use two processors at work. I have the computers properly set up with BOINC running on them and associated with the appropriate place (home, work or school).

Then I set the default general preference as Home (setting 1 processor max), and added a separate general preference for Work (with 2 processors max).

Trouble is after an update the work computer is still running only one process. It will run two pocessors if I change the Home (default) preference, but not otherwise.

This problem should be fixed in the 4.2x client.

I've answered it some days ago here!

But as John said, with the appearance of the new client it will be fixed.
You can even try it now, but BEWARE! It's still dev-stuff, possibly buggy, may harm your puter.
