You can also just download

You can also just download here: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php
It looks like this is the new public version.

This is a bug fix release of the 4.13 source base and contains the following
bug fixes:

1. File upload handling, this affects all projects.
2. File download handling, this affects all projects.
3. CPU and Model Identification code update on Windows, this affects any
projects using homogeneous redundancy, namely Predictor at Home
4. Execute benchmarks before actually attempting to start any applications,
this affects all projects.
5. Increase the buffer for command lines, this affects Einstein at Home.
6. Escape http and socks proxy user information for those who have special
characters in either their username or password, this affects all projects.
7. Fix the special cases where the client was ignoring the server's request
to delay the next RPC to a specific date and time, this affects all
projects.

Correct; v4.19 = "Gold" = "RTM" = whatever it's called these days.
Rom said "I encourage all project admins to update to this version of the client
software as quickly as possible."
Edit2: v4.19 is available from the official download page, so I guess that makes it errr... official.

I guess that goes for all project members as well ;c)

Edit: updated v4.18 to v4.19. So far no problems (CPDN was running this time around and continued happily after the benchmarks were done).

Jeeze, it seems like just yesterday I was Upgrading my machines at the office to 4.17, and now -- we skip right over 4.18 to 4.19! Two down, 4 to go. So far, so good.

Hmmm, should I put 4.19 in at the office tomorrow, or will 4.20 be out, maybe??

;-)

After a few hours SETI,

After a few hours SETI, einstein, and predictor are working well with BOINC 4.19. With BOINC 4.18 instead of 9 to 9.5 hours, it only took 4.5 hours to complete a seti work unit. I have noticed no other change in either BOINC 4.18 or 4.19.
