I have seen a higher than normal error rate with task - Continuous Gravitational Wave search O2 All-Sky v1.07 () windows_x86_64
5 GPU tasks have been marked invalid (out of 33 GPU tasks):
https://einsteinathome.org/task/877126216

https://einsteinathome.org/task/877494907
https://einsteinathome.org/task/877512061
https://einsteinathome.org/task/878123639
The above errors have occurred on two different GPUs in different host PCs, both GPUs operate fine on other projects. Is this issue specific to GPU tasks?
The Stderr output for these tasks does not seem to indicate any obvious error encountered.

Hi! GPU app version for

Hi! GPU app version for 'Continuous Gravitational Wave search O2 All-Sky' is still in development. Those invalids were to be expected at this time. Here's a thread with plenty of info on this: https://einsteinathome.org/content/next-gravitational-wave-search-gpus-very-soon
If you'd like to run a "stable" app and get a much more normal ratio of valid results then the app FGRPB1G (Gamma-ray pulsar binary search #1 on GPUs) works well for that.
If you allow your computers
)
If you allow your computers to participate in test apps, you should try to follow the discussion that relates to that test.
If you check the most recent messages in that thread you will find that V1.08 has problems. Yes, at least one of your computers (the one I happened to check - a Ryzen 7 1700) has moved on from V1.07 and has lots of V1.08 tasks so they are all headed for failure, unfortunately. This was announced in the discussion thread.
It's helpful to the project when people do participate in these tests but you need to expect that problems can occur during the testing stages. If you follow the discussion you may be able to stop some of the waste and you certainly should be able to keep yourself up-to-date as to what's happening and why :-).
Cheers,
Gary.
