I am confused, the work unit above shows both computers claiming 43.57 credits however the granted credit was 145.96 this doesn't make sense to me.

Granted Credit More then 3 times Claimed

The crediting in the application is wrong, so they adjust it on the server.

Is this explained somewhere? I couldn't find anything in the FAQs how is it that the calculated credit is so different?

Best I could find is a post by Bernd.

Bernd started a sticky thread devoted to the subject of credit claims. The thread title is a bit of a giveaway ;-).

As he mentions there, the big difference (a factor of 3.35) between granted credit and claimed credit is an artifact that carried over into the R4 run caused by the attempts to get a DCF of close to 1.0, ie estimated run time as close as possible to actual run time. In the latter stages of R3, improvements in the app had caused run time estimates to be perhaps 3 to 4 times larger (or more) than the actual run time (ie DCF needed to be around 0.2 to 0.3 for reasonable estimates to be given).

Essentially, the fixing of the estimated run time caused claimed credit to be way too low so the server fixes that when it works out the granted credit.

Bernd did say that he hope to fix it fairly quickly but because it's only cosmetic it would have a pretty low priority. The decision to cut short R4 and bring on R5 has obviously pushed it further down the 'To Do' list.

Cheers,
Gary.
