Hello,
I just installed BOINC on a new PC running an i5 2500k and a GTX 460 at default clock speed.
All GPU WU instantly crash and gives the following error
Error in OpenCL context: CL_MEM_OBJECT_ALLOCATION_FAILURE error executing CL_COMMAND_WRITE_BUFFER on GeForce GTX 460 (Device 0)
PC link is the following

I tried updating the drivers but the issue is still present.
Can anyone help?
Thanks =)

Those tasks were regular v1.17. You could try if enabling "Run test applications" at Project Preferences would allow v1.18 Beta tasks for your computer. That might fix it.

I think that card only has 1gb so the older WUs probably ran out of memory. The newer ones will be close.

My understanding is that there has been no reduction in the amount of GPU-RAM the app will use since the release of the first version. The only change to the GPU-RAM requirements has been the server side setting on the lowest limit of GPU-RAM to send tasks to.

If the GPU is borderline on available GPU-RAM then tasks may fail with an "out of memory" error.
