I am going on a trip where I don't expect connectivity.
I set my laptop to use a "school" preference for the 10 day (max allowed) network connection, to get a load of work to crunch.
Rosetta gave me 20 tasks due in 14 days -- great. LHC gave me 25 tasks due in 7 days -- not great.
Nothing has come in for Einstein or SETI -- double plus ungood. I guess these are going to be carrying on without me.
Can we get some BOINC standardization here?
How about creating a few sets of matching tasks with Report deadlnes 2-3 weeks out, and assigning them to matching users based on user preference for the next connection?

I would expect that the LHC work put you into no work fetch mode due to the shorter deadlines. Once it has cleared out then you may be able to get work from the other projects.

Hmmmm ... I don't see how I can express any preference or control here. Even though I am new to computing for other projects like LHC and Rosetta, and they might feel like they need a chance to catch up to Einstein, I don't want them to arbitrarily jump in and hog my computing for the next two weeks.
I could clear some of the tasks out but that might impact others trying to match my results. How do I force Einstein and SETI give me work, and how do I get BOINC to balance my load for all projects during extended times between connections in the future?

Suspend Rosetta and LHC, then contact SETI and Einstein. It should download work, cause those are no longer working at the moment.
You could also set the
)
You could also set the project resource level to a much lower level on the backup projects, so maybe 100% on seti and einstein, and maybe 10% on the others, this would help with the amount of download per project.
I run Einstein at 200% , and All others at 50%. With a cache of 3 days.

More than 100%, I'd like to see that...

That should read Einstein at 200, and all others at 50.
You can set priority to any particular number you wish. I have HashClash on 4000, just to give a total priority when it gets work.
