After working for many hours about 60% of my work units get an error similar to:
2005-10-06 14:26:12|Einstein@Home|Unrecoverable error for result w1_0374.5__0374.5_0.1_T11_S4hB_2 ( - exit code -164 (0xffffff5c))
FYI Seti@Home is running fine....

Getting too many unrecoverable errors
)
There is a "graphics" bug related to running Einstein 4.79 with BOINC 4.45. If you are using the BOINC screensaver or the "Show graphics" option under the BOINC "Work" tab, it could be causing your problem. A fix is in the Beta Application (see the link under More Information on the E@H home page).

The exit code 164 indicates "No heartbeat", usually a core crash, but Boinc seems to recover well and resume processing, as it did in this result.
The fatal error was the "***UNHANDLED EXCEPTION****Reason: Access Violation (0xc0000005) at address 0x00FCFBD1 write attempt to address 0x01F70001".
The (0xc00000005) is, I think, the graphics bug that Stick mentioned.

Since turning off the graphics my last result set completed OK, and I should know about my next set later today. I am also running Seti@Home and it has always worked fine.
After running without the
)
After running without the screen saver (or graphics) for a few days, I have found that all of my result sets have been completed without errors.
