I've been getting lots of the GPU Gamma-ray pulsar binary search #1 workunits, even though I don't have the application selected in my preferences and I even have my preferences set to NO GPU work.
What's going on? Why don't I rather receive the CPU apps that I have selected (and which are available according to the Server Status)?

Dod you mean the settings

Do you mean the settings here: https://einsteinathome.org/account/prefs/project ?
Have you clicked 'update' for the project from your computer after you had adjusted those settings?
Have you set same location for your computer and that 'Preference set' which you saved those settings for?
edit: Those tasks are not actually GPU work, although they have GPU in their name. It comes from the application name, but they are SSE cpu work: https://einsteinathome.org/apps.php
Your host has Windows, but GPU versions of that work is available only for Linux and MAC.

Of course, Richie, of course. And exactly because of that I posted my message.

Now you might be getting on to something... I was wondering those units might have been wrongly named test units (I have test units in my prefs). But what you write is also possible. Just wrongly named CPU units. Thanks!
I think I read they are CPU

I think I read they are CPU verification of GPU work.
