That means the system can't resolve the hostname. In general, something's wrong with you internet connection on that machine. Try "ping einstein.phys.uwm.edu" in a terminal or open Safari on this machine to http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu . If this works, make sure you haven't mistyped the urls of the projects.
The machine originally downloaded both Einstein and later seti wu. Just moments ago it downloaded predictor units again. The machines contact the web through a campus wireless connection that has a maximum connect time of maybe 24 hours. It also fails at random times on occasion.
I leave Boinc running overnight and often (but not always) find it crashed by morning.
Spelling checked, also project manager did download the proper "names" for the projects.
I'm pretty sure the machine's ID is 92884. (I have four identical ibooks in my herd).
What exact OS version are you running? I wonder if the reason for the hanging has something to do with the multithreading - at least E@H is multithreaded, SETI might be, Predictor AFAIK isn't. Once you have a data file, the amount of data communicated with the E@H server should be very small for quite a number of Results, so the connection time should not need to be long...
