I've heard of sending smoke signals, but ... can't help thinking that some kind of entangled telepathic technique is most practical ...
In 1996 I coauthored an article on quantum computing on the Italian edition of Technology Review and now I am starting to prepare another one for "Automazione, Energia, Informazione", a kind of Italian IEEE Spectrum. But, apart some advances in quantum cryptography. the field has not advanced much and is still the playground of physicists. I enjoyed some video lectures by David Deutsch of Oxford University, available on www.qubit.org. Cheers.

Yeah, we'd probably get 'HTTP 404' .....

With such as rabid specie as humans, that would be a certainty.
But, if it was possible then what would be the IP addressing system - IPv32?

We aren't able to manage even a small planet. How could anybody manage a star? Unless he is God, of course.

To break the C barrier... quantum entanglement looks like a good choice.. if we ever can figure it out..
But.. I think the answer lies in the device called the Ansible

The Left Hand of Darkness which is an amazing scifi book I have read... written in 1969 I believe by a Ursula Le Guin
Another amazing scifi series by a female writer is the Canopus in Argos series - by Doris Lessing
