Hi, I received an email today inviting me to test - I downloaded BOINC and loaded it up, but after running a cpu test it tried to access your server (I had copied and pasted the address from the email as instructed) but failed.
I'm behind a university Proxy server and they have external firewalls, might it be because of this? If it helps, I know people on the same network can run SETI well enough.
Can you suggest any solution?
Thanks

If you connect to the web through an HTTP or SOCKS proxy, use the dialog Settings/ProxyServer to change the settings for your Proxyserver.

Yes, I had put in the proxies etc.
I think the guy above got it right - tried again this morning and it's working fine so it must have been something silly like that!
