Your problem may be similar to this one:Message boards : Problems and Bug Reports : Adding to my projects. That is, try re-entering your password as ReefRaff did on this thread.

Hi, I have the same problem.

Message 19977 in response to message 19976

Hi, I have the same problem. Re-entering the password don't work so far. The BONIC-Client returns an error and adds the project without account.
One point was remarkable: I create the account on the website, but there was no request for the account-key. Maybe the account isn't active atm, but i have no chance to check this.
Can anyone help?

thx

Madstar,

I think you may have misunderstood the "re-enter" password advice. You must log-in to "Your account" on the web-site and edit your password as though you were changing it. Apparently, it is the edit/update on the web-site that is "fixes" the problem. Your account key is not required anymore (with BOINC 5.2.X). If you have already done this, then your problem is different from the others and you should write us back again.

Stick,

thx for the answer. There was no misunderstanding. I re-enter the password the way you describe, but it doesn't help.
In the log of the BOINC-Manager are the following error (while adding the project):
25.11.2005 16:21:33||Fetching config info from http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/get_project_config.php
25.11.2005 16:21:42||Missing account key

I already member in the climaprediction.net-project and it works. So imo it must be a problem with the accountmanagement from einstein@home.

thx Madstar

BOINC Version 5.2.8

Obviously, you just installed 5.2.8. Did you upgrade from an earlier version? If so which one? Also, did you remove the previous version first or just install over it? I am asking because there have been some problems reported relating to BOINC upgrades. If you think this might be your case, you might want to browse some of the BOINC problem related threads here.

ok, i found the error. The BOINC-Manager reports an error while adding the project. But after a few minutes everything works fine.
Thanks for your help sticky.
