Hello,

Since upgrading to BOINC 4.45 I seem to be getting this error on all my Einstien work units.

7/12/2005 9:46:41 AM|Einstein@Home|Unrecoverable error for result w1_0437.5__0437.5_0.1_T03_S4hA_3 ( - exit code -164 (0xffffff5c))

I have SETI, and ProteinPredictor running also. They don't seem to be having any problem.

Did you upgrade from 4.19?

If so, did you unistalled the older version first?

Exit code -164 means "nested

Exit code -164 means "nested exceptions". More specifically, it was in the middle of handling an exception when another one occured. (Could be the exception handler, could be another thread also got an exception)

Check the results on the web site for messages. In "Your Account" click "results" and look for the ones marked "Client error" and "Computing". Click on the result link to see the result details, which includes error messages. Might have something there that'll point to the problem.

Besides that, are you running the screensaver or "show graphics"? Thats often the cause of errors. If so, try running without the screensaver (set it to "none" or "blank") and don't "show graphics". See if that makes any difference.
