19/10/2010 13:35:51|Einstein@Home|Message from server: Your computer has no NVIDIA GPU
Get this on a regular basis, is this a problem? Appears in red as if a proper error message. The 'no work sent is what worries me', the program seems to be running and doing something useful.
PS the screen server is pretty, is there an explanation of exactly what it is, I get the constellation diagrams.
Regards
Richie

Error message for no NVIDIA GPU, is this a problem
)
It's no error message and so shouldn't be displayed in red. It only tells you the obvious, that your computer doesn't have a nVidia GPU (as if you didn't know that:-). CPU tasks, however, are still sent.
To avoid that message, you can go to your Einstein@Home preferences and set "Use NVIDIA GPU" to "no".
On the Einstein homepage, there's a link called Screensaver description. Perhaps you find some explanations there. ;-)

Which won't work. It's because of the ATI videocard (and thus GPU) he has. BOINC will request work for it, since Einstein doesn't have that same option for ATI cards. So the only thing one can do is ignore the GPU work requests for the time being.
Yep, I always make the same
