I'm getting an error when trying to bring up the
graphics window in E@H:
graphics_windows_intelx86.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close
The graphics window would not be based on having an
intel chip available for graphics, by any chance,
would it ?
I have an AMD Athlon xp2800+, mb is Asus A7N8X Deluxe,
video card is ATI X1050 w/ Catalyst 7.2 drivers.
I tried a search on the forums, but no luck.
Thx.

Error with graphics screen

No, not that I know of. I can't really offer any assistance as I've never run the graphics myself. If you feel a bit adventurous, you could try downloading and running the "power users" app, version 4.36. You need to know how to run things using the anonymous platform mechanism to override the current stock app which is version 4.26. There's always a chance that the later version may not exhibit the same bad symptoms when you try to launch the graphics.
Let us know if you need assistance with installing the 4.36 app if you'd like to try it.
Cheers,
Gary.

A shot in the dark suggestion might be to try and reinstall your graphics card driver.
