I'm getting a server msg: "Arecibo Binary Pulsar Search needs 95.34MB more disk space. You currently have 0.00MB and it needs 95.34MB". In checking my free disk space, it shows 4.76GB of free disk space, so I'm at a loss to explain or understand the message I am getting.

Erroneous server message?

It is most likely due to the way you have your computing preferences set on the website.
Go to your account page -> computing preferences and tell us what values you have set for the three disk related preferences under disk and memory usage. if you have set "Use at most ..." set to something low (like 50%) try setting it to something more reasonable like 90%.
Cheers,
Gary.

My settings are:
DISK USAGE
Use at most - 50GB of disk space
Leave at least - 5GB of disk space
Use at most - 50% of total disk space
Write to disk at most every - 60 seconds
Use at most - 50% of page file (swap space)
MEMORY USAGE
Use at most - 50% when computer is in use
Use at most - 90% when computer is idle
Thanks for trying to help me with this. I will wait your reply before I change anything.
RE: My settings are:

You asked BOINC to leave at least 5GB free, but currently there's less free on your disk (see your first message), so BOINC is perfectly right to not download further stuff.

When the 5GB limitation is
)
When the 5GB limitation is fixed, he'll have another problem. According to the transmission log:
[send] No disk space available: disk_max_used_gb 0.00GB disk_max_used_pct 50.00 disk_min_free_gb 0.00GB
[send] No disk space available: host.d_total 74.46GB host.d_free 4.14GB host.d_boinc_used_total 1.70GB
[send] No disk space available: x1 48.30GB x2 35.52GB x3 -0.86GB x -0.86GB
host.d_total 74.46GB / 2 = 37.2GB
host.d_free 4.14GB < 37.2GB
All of the preferences have the wrong numbers if the total disk space is really only ~75GB. So, vev46, just to double check, what size hard drive do you have installed in this PC?
RE: My settings are:

My settings for the above three are 10GB, 0.01GB, and 90%
You need to understand that if you set tight limits, sooner or later you will run into them :-).
You also need to appreciate that under normal circumstances, BOINC will not use one more byte than is really necessary so you don't need to 'restrict' BOINC, thinking that otherwise it would always be 'greedy' and use more than it needs.
As a safety measure to protect against a runaway science app, just set the first preference to the total amount of space that you would allow a rogue process to consume. My value of 10GB is probably far too generous in that regard because I'm only supporting a small number of projects. I don't think I have a single machine that's anywhere near 1GB total use, let alone 10GB. Obviously if you were supporting a large number of projects, you might need to adjust upwards accordingly.
Cheers,
Gary.
