Cedric – To begin, click on your “Start” icon (lower left corner of your monitor) and proceed to click on the icon entitled “Control Panel”, next click on “Display”; this should bring up a menu panel for displaying various functions of your monitor. Click on “Screen Savers” and insure that the screen saver named “BOINC” is high-lited and displayed. Remember to click “Apply” (lower right corner of this mini-menu) before clicking “OK” to exit the menu.

Should this not be of aid, in displaying your Einstein Screen Saver, please post which version of the BOINC Client you are using. This can be found by calling-up your client and clicking on “Help” and then clicking on “About BOINC Manger”, which will give the current version number.

Hope this of aid and welcome to E@H!

Cedric – Being new and not a native English speaker is not much of a problem here at E@H, since it’s pretty much an international crowd. As for the idle state, what you may want to do is; call-up the BOINC client and click on the “Projects” tab and next click on the "Update" button, and see if this will provide additional work for you, assuming you may want another unit of work.

I am running BOINC 4.45 and also do not get the screensaver. I do get the bouncing BOINC with a status message.

Also, on the Work tab, when an Einstein unit is running and I click on the "Show Graphics" button, I do not get anything. Seti does show me the graphics when I do this.

If you have an ATI card, you

If you have an ATI card, you can try the Windows beta app and see if that helps.

Installed BOINC on IBM T41

Installed BOINC on IBM T41 laptop (ATI radeon 9000 video card). SETI screensaver worked fine. E@H screen saver was blank. followed instructions and installed beta 0.03 files. This has resolved problem.
