I have just upgraded to Windows 8 Pro and now, when I open the BOINC Manager, all of the Einstein work units display "gpu missing" after them.
Your thoughts please.
Missing the correct driver? Not installed one from the manufacturer, but let Windows do it? Depending on what kind of GPU it is: ATI driver download portal.Nvidia driver download portal.
You have other problems as well, as your host ID 985462 is returning only faulty work.
By upgrade do you mean that Windows 8 was able to install on top of XP? Or, did you do a clean install of Win 8.
If the former is true, I might be trying the clean install. I don't know if that will fix the problem, just sharing what I would be inclined to try.
