I am delighted to announce that Einstein@Home has discovered three new radio pulsars in data from the Parkes Multi Beam Pulsar Survey (PMPS). This brings the Einstein@Home total to nine new pulsars discovered in PMPS data!
Further details about the newly-discovered pulsars can be found on this web page, and will be published in due course. We are still in the process of contacting the volunteers whose computers found these pulsars, and will post information about these volunteers in the coming few days.
Thank you for contributing to Einstein@Home!

It's getting to the point where I'd be surprised to see "we did not find any new pulsars". :D

Thank you! In fact we have found 11 so far, 9 in PMPS data and 2 in Arecibo data.

congratulations to the lucky crunchers.

All we have is their eMail address. Guessing their real- or account names from that is difficult and error-prone, we won't do this.

Hi!
Are those volunteers still participating in the project? Maybe we need a new version of the screensaver that would display some messages and play some audio announcement when crunching a special workunit sent out to specific volunteers in cases like this :-)

Maybe they registered giving a fake mail address. I get marriage proposals from beautiful Russian women since some idiot registered to a social network with my e-mail address. I am 76.

AFAIK the eMails were deleivered and no error returned. The address can't be completely faked.
I rather think that these eMails were manually or automatically categorized as SPAM and ultimately deleted without being read.
However we do have no other means to contact the volunteers. Less than a percent participate in the forums, how many, do you think, will ever look at the screensaver graphics (after the first few days or weeks)?

This is what I meant. Maybe the people who received the e-mails have never registered and know nothing about Einstein@home, let alone pulsars. So their e-mail addresses are legal, but were used without they knowing it, as I don't know who registered me to a social network.
