The last day or so my BOINC has suddenly stopped uploading finished WU at all. I only run 2 projects, EInstein and SETI. Only Einstein seems to have stopped wanting to upload the finished units results. There have been no recent changes to hardware or software and BOINC has been allowe access to the net in Zone Alarm.
ANy ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. THanks folks.

@TheApostate: you should mention your "Scheduler Request failed:Error 417" here also!

I was thinking that a little earlier this evening, which granted is a while after this OP.
The error message reads as follows....

THis is after trying to create a cc_config.xml file as well. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling BOINC. Granted it was into the same directory, so I'm somewhat baffled and at a loss.
I do not know if it related to this problem, but I've also noticed that an antispyware proggy I use called Spywareblaster has also suddenly developed problems in checking for and/or d/l the latest updates. For a few days Firefox also seemed to have problems displaying one particular site properly.
RE: I do not know if it
)
This could very well be related. Even if not, it should be taken seriously in itself, since sometimes malware is blocking updates of anti-malware software. Anyway it seems that something got in between your BOINC client and the E@H website.

I just created another thread before reading this one.
I have noticed that certain proxy servers may be incompatible with the content of result upload. Below is the actual response captured using a traffic analysis tool (server identity masked)
Server: squid/2.6.STABLE14

Content-Length: 1056

X-Cache-Lookup: MISS from *.*.*.*:*

Any suggestion on work-around other than asking IT to correct proxy server settings?

WRT error 417, I googled a fix:
create a file called cc_config.xml in the BOINC main folder.
Put these lines into it with a simple editor like notepad, kate, gedit, etc.:
1
Then re-read the config file from "Advanced" -> "Read config file", menu.
It works for me.
I found that solution here:

Not sure if I have the same problem, but I'm having intermittent trouble uploading results, and all the Einstein web pages are not accessible at the same time. Here is the BOINC message I get when this problem occurs:
1/10/2009 8:41:46 AM|Einstein@Home|Fetching scheduler list
1/10/2009 8:41:47 AM||Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site
1/10/2009 8:41:48 AM||Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.
When this is happening, I also get the standard DNS error message "web page not found" when trying to access any of the Einstein web pages - including this one.
Its working now, so hopefully somebody will offer a suggestion quickly, before Einstein goes away again!
Here is the most recent attempt to get new ork:

When this happens, can you reach the Einstein web pages with a browser?
Pardon my ignorance of the inter-web thingie, but is this all just the result of too many attempts to contact Einstein@Home at the same time?
