I run three other projects besides Einstein@home, which I just rejoined yesterday. But I notice that E@h has commandeered the CPU, runnning at 'high priority.' I've tried to figure out how to change it so its priority is no higher than that of the other projects, but have not been able to.

Einstein is running at high priority; how do I cancel that?
)
The high priority run that Einstein does is to make sure that the task you have will each its deadline. In the past this was called Earliest Deadline First, no longer these days.
It has nothing to do with the priority it runs at at CPU level. That's still the lowest possible so any CPU cycles needed by other applications will go to those applications.
Just leave it be, eventually Einstein will release the CPU, when BOINC is reasonably sure it will manage to get everything done in the time alloted and before the deadline.
RE: The high priority run

Thanks. It should be noted somewhere in the online information about Einstein@home that this is the case. Perhaps I just didn't find it, but my concern led me to suspend the E@h workunit because it appeared not to be allowing other projects to run at all hour after hour.
I should have been more

I should have been more patient I guess. After running six hours the e@h wu was released and now another project of mine is running.
