My computer is set to use Einstein@home 36% of the time, SETi 46% and Rosetta 18%   It downloads and runs tasks for SETI and Rosetta.   It checks daily with Einstein@home, but does not download any tasks.

Disk space available for BOINC is 10 GB,  BOINC is using 2 GB. Of the 2 GB Rosetta uses the most 1.9 GB, with Einstein and SETI using less than 50 MB each.

Einstein@Home used to run on my computers, but for some reason I am not getting any new tasks.

I may have something set wrong, but have no idea what.

Please help,

Craig Miller

Could be all kinds of "wrong"

Could be all kinds of "wrong" settings. You are giving somewhat sparse informations ... i.e. CPU and/or GPU WUs not downloading?

Since none of the experts have yet answered, I'll try to do a "BASIC" help as far as I can.

I don't know how experienced you are, but:

For a first problem search, check what the messages in the Event Log (BOINC Manager --> Advanced View --> Tools -->  Event Log) are saying.

For further "checking", make sure you have set the "Project Preferences" under "Einstein Account --> Preferences --> Project" the way you want/need it.

So scroll to the bottom right and click on "(SHOW COMPARISON VIEW)".  Then check which "profile" the pertaining PC is using respective which parameters are active in the used profile.

Maybe this will be of help or at least give you a clue about where the problem is perhaps "located".

I just checked the info on your computers and you have 3 connected to Einstein@home.
Of those 3, 2 have made contact recently and the 3rd was about a week ago.
The 2 that has made contact have both downloaded new tasks.

My guess would be that the task availability from the other projects hasn't been reliable and thus your computer/s have run more Einstein task than your resource share is set for. Then when you get tasks from the other projects Boinc tries to catch up and doesn't download any new work from Einstein.

If you want better advice than the above then please tell us more about which computer you think you have a problem whit and what the state of that computer is. Eg how many tasks is in the cache from all the projects it's attached to and if it's had problems fetching new tasks from any projects in recent times.
