That's what Mike Hewson was referring to in his earlier post asking me if anyone had asked me to "play misty for me"...

I thought perhaps he was but I didn't know if it was that or directed towards the Ray Stevens song. I don't think I've heard that one, the only one I remember really is something like "Mississippi Squirrel Revival". Pretty funny lyrics on that one. Or perhaps it was a different Ray Stevens...

I believe that.

It was the same Ray Stevens...He's made some pretty strange records over the years...But one of his biggests hits was a speeded up country version of "Misty"...a very original take on one of the standards of the 20th century

Well, Dan's a radio announcer.... not near Carmel of course. It is the same Ray as the squirrel one. Funnily enough he does have one album subtitled 'his serious side', he also did 'Ahab the Arab' too. But I expose my longevity here.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

... and my other CPU is a Ryzen 5950X :-) Blaise Pascal

Yeah right. That's not a good excuse; it's only been about 6 months since Turkey Day. :^) lmao on the credit card bit.

I used to be pretty good with an F-105 Thud. I've got 30,000 lbs of Nape loaded and I'm getting ready to fly a sortie against the SETI Cafe. That place could use a little "urban renewal"! I'll come in low & fast, treetop level, and they'll never see me coming!

But if you so much as scratch one BOTD you'll have 500 SAMs headed your way. The SAMs also fire particle beam weapons, just in case. :)

Reloaded. Refueled. Ready for takeoff.

Ahhhh! Do you hire out? Like err ... for special jobs, at a fee .... you know? I've got some targets of opportunity for you.... :-)

There's always that possibility. Would it be a precise surgical strike on a single target or massive carpet bombing? There's an extra fee if you want it to look like the targets started it.

Sure looks like you picked the right avatar; best one yet, Misfit.
(Happy belated B-day wishes, Dan, and a toast to many more)

Yeah this is the true misfit avatar. ;)
And happy birthday Dan!

I suspect that it's the 30 + years of Turkey Day that's made the difference! ;)

Understood; I'll try to avoid collateral damage to the BOTD! But, I'll bring a couple of "Wild Weasels", just in case! ;)
