I running E@H on 3 computer with client versions 5.2.5 and 5.2.7
From first upgrade to version 5 project don't download work when is required.
One of this computer don't get work from Nov. 10,2005.
If I force to update I get next lines at message client tab:

11/13/2005 2:17:45 PM|Einstein@Home|Sending scheduler request to http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/EinsteinAtHome_cgi/cgi
11/13/2005 2:17:45 PM|Einstein@Home|Reason: Requested by user
11/13/2005 2:17:45 PM|Einstein@Home|Note: not requesting new work or reporting results
11/13/2005 2:17:50 PM|Einstein@Home|Scheduler request to http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/EinsteinAtHome_cgi/cgi succeeded

I think if computer haven't any work for a project and its update button is pressed then a request for more works should be done.

Is this feature correct on E@H project?

Note: other projects when update is clicked then a request for new work is done. if there isn't work at server a message is displayed telling that.

Thanks for time

Means that BOINC does not need/want more work for Einstein, based on your resource share setting, and the work that it has done for the project recently. (Based on the Long Term Debt value.)

Hitting "update" does not change or override the resource share you set in the web preferences. It will get more work when the debt to other projects has been paid, and not before. If you have a large "connect to every" setting (anything over 2-3 days), this can complicate things considerably as well.

Your computers are hidden, so I can't give you any more details than that. You can download a utility for whatever your OS is to look at your LTD if you wish. For Windows it's BOINCView or BOINCDV, for Mac it's BOINC Stat Viewer, don't know about Linux or others.
