Hey!
I use BOINC 7.6.22 and BAM. My hosts stopped requesting new tasks and in log one can find:

2016-04-05 05:57:21 | Einstein@Home | Reporting 1 completed tasks
2016-04-05 05:57:21 | Einstein@Home | Not requesting tasks: "no new tasks" requested via Manager
2016-04-05 05:57:23 | Einstein@Home | Scheduler request completed
2016-04-05 05:57:23 | Einstein@Home | This project is using an old URL. When convenient, remove the project, then add http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/

2016-04-05 06:49:59 | | Account manager: Number of BAM! connections for this host: 35230
2016-04-05 06:49:59 | | Account manager: Delayed detach from Einstein@Home, project changed URL. After detaching project will reattach with new URL on next communication!

Had to change settings manually in BAM website after 24hrs of my hosts doing nothing.

RE: Amanda. Have you seen

Amanda.

Have you seen this thread? It seems that Einstein@home's new server uses a later encryption algorithm than BOINC 6.12.35 can handle. Since it's unlikely to revert to the older, less secure one, this looks like the parting of the ways for E@h and PPC Macs.

My G5's still OK with MilkyWay@home and SETI@home for the moment, but I don't know for how much longer.

Do any of these files work for your guys version of the Mac?

The latest, and often test, versions are at the top of the list. I personally have not found any critical problems with the test versions, despite the warnings, YMMV though!!

Hi mikey.

Thanks for the link. Interesting to see that the last "universal" Mac client build was 6.12.43, a few months after 6.12.35, although it didn't achieve "recommended" status.

Your post made me think to look up the VersionHistory page too. The only post-6.12.35 client listed as including an openSSL update is 7.4.36, at the beginning of last year. G5s can't run any of the BOINC 7 Mac clients, which are for Intel processors only.

I'll unattach again and leave

I'll unattach again and leave it then, last one is Seti and Seti Beta, when they're no longer sending stuff, I'll delete Boinc and cancel account, can"t afford a new computer.

It looks as if Bernd has some

It looks as if Bernd has some idea for an updated SSL library for our G5s, although I'm not clear if he means a new one for the system or a new BOINC client with one included. It won't be for a couple of weeks though if it happens.
