I am running E@H on my laptop and desktop - both are Vista Home Premium o/s. Boinc version is 5.10.20.
On my desktop, E@H has stopped displaying the rotating star field. Everything else is displayed, and E@H is running properly. This is the second time this has happened on this machine. I "corrected" the problem the previous time by re-formatting and re-installing the o/s - not the best solution I know.
Anyone have any ideas why the starfield display would stop showing ? On the laptop, it continues to display as normal.

E@H - graphics display issue
)
Hi!
Unfortnately, graphics under Vista and BOINC sometimes just don't go together very well, see this discussion. Note that the screen saver is just a visualization of the search progress but is not essential itself for the scientific calculations that are being performed in the background, so if driver updates etc do not cure the problem, you might want to disable the E@H screensaver.

I had the same problem with the starfield in the screen saver. I am running a Gateway DX310S with an ATI Xpress200 Motherboard with 10/100 LAN. I am using Windows Vista Ultimate, 32 bit. This morning I went to an ATI site,
http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx?p=vista32/integrated-vista32
and downloaded and installed, Display Driver 1 of 2 17.6MB 8.1 Jan. 16, 2008 Display Driver Only. The starfield is running again.
