My average work units processed has dropped from 809.9 on 06AUG to 535.7 on 28AUG. Same Macintosh computer. I downloaded and installed BOINC 5.4.9 on 9AUG. The size of my work units went from about a 12 hour unit to 2 hour unit.
One windoze unit still gets work units about 7 & 1/2 hours long and is remaining at about 361 unit average, while another machine dropped from an average of 403 units on 3AUG to the present average of 205 units. This machine is also receiving work units about 2 & 1/2 hours long.
Both windoze machines are dedicaed to Einstein and do little or no other work. Both run24/7.
I am getting frustrated with this.
I built the new windoze machine just to run BOINC projects, and now that I've 3 machines running my average has dropped!

There are two different sized WUs for Einstein. On my laptop, short ones run just under an hour and long ones run about 10x that.

During August, the amount of credit per work unit was recalibrated on Einstein. I used to get ~177 credits per work unit, it is now ~120 credits per work unit. During that time, my RAC has dropped from ~1,050 to 720. I'm still doing the same number of work units per day but less credit = lower RAC.

Oops, misread the Statistics graph. My RAC has actually dropped to ~774. My bad.

Problem is that one machine still gets 120.7 credits per W/U while the other two get 13.41. The 120 machine's average graph is still climbing or steady while the other two are dropping like a rock. I mean they are 1/2 what they were. I was doing better with two computers running Einstein than I am now doing with three. This does not justify the electricity nor the effort involved. Something needs fixed. Even if the units are smaller, I'm processing more units and I see no reason why overall credit should be dropping drastically. wts

It it your apple box that is dropping? There are a couple more new Macintosh test applications. Go to the Number Crunching board, and update to the one that matches your machine.

WTS Were all three

Were all three machines crunching long work units (WUs) before August? Or was the one still crunching long WUs and the other two crunching short WUs?

On august the 15th a new windows version went active and credits/WU was decreased to keep credits/h the same.
The Apple version also got less credits/WU and also less credits/h as the Apple application stayed the same.
Bernd is working on optimized Apple versions - see the beta app page and the corresponding thread for MacOS Intel, MacOS G5 and MacOS PPC.
With this versions you will get more credits/h...

All three were processing long units. Now the only one which has the same average is the one [Windoze box] that's doing the long ones. Other two have droppes to half. I'm going backwards in the total ratings.

Seems like Problems & Bug

Seems like Problems & Bug reports is just a post area with no definitive response to fix the problem. I have found a solution however. Since the only reward is the satisfaction of watching standing climb, and now all I see is my standing drop, I've found it not to be fun.
Solution is goodbye!

Old man, outta time, want some credit, hav'ta leave. I would like to encourage the rest of you to buck up and stay. The new forces have arrived. Let all whiners go, YOU CAN STAY! I am new member, getting just the RAC level that Will is whining over. Its not about credit, points, or coolness.

Its about astronomy.

Your stealth machines will never do anything more important than work here. Be a martyr! Stay!
