You might try increasing

You might try increasing the <max_file_xfers_per_project>8</max_file_xfers_per_project> from its default 2 setting in the cc_config.xml file.

I can't remember whether this project will parallelize the download connections for a file transfer. Also Einstein sources its files from multiple locations around the world.

It's possible that that skygrid file is in a location that is just network slow to you based on where you are in respect to the download repository.

Have you perhaps

Have you perhaps (intentionally or accidentally) limited the download rates in your BOINC client's settings? Eventually you changed the setting in the BOINC client manager (overriding web preferences):

Options --> "Computation Settings"[*] --> Network

The preferred way to adjust such client preferences is via einstein's website (account configuration):

There you can find: "Limit download rate to: ... Kbytes/sec" as well as "Limit upload rate"

Please check your local client configuration (if it is overriding web-based preferences) and your account preferences at einstein's website:

https://einsteinathome.org/de/account/prefs

Don't forget to "save changes" (bottom of preferences website). Updating your project in the BOINC client syncronizes website changes to your local client (also done automaticely whenever client requests tasks or reports finished ones)

[*] I'm not sure about the exact term (in the localization you use) as I use a German localization.
