Dont get new work units

As a matter of fact, Seti is down.

Einstein: I do get work, so the problem seems to be on your side.
How old are your workunits? Will Einstein still want them? If not, try a complete reset of the project.

I have found that Einstein

I have found that Einstein seems to take longer to Complete. So even if I have Tasks from other Projects that are Due Before those from Einstein, I Suspend the Others and Prioritise those (from Einstein for example) which will seem to take longer, and if after Running Those Tasks to about 50% of Completion, I can see that I will still have Sufficient Time to Complete it/them (The Einstein ones), I Suspend it/them, and Resume Those from the Other Project/s and Complete it/them, and then Resume The Einstein accordingly. This seems to be working effectively, and I am Completing All Tasks for each Project in Plenty of Time. Even if you have Numerous Tasks from the one Project (such as Einstein), it Is not Necessarily appropriate to Crunch them in The Order As They Are Listed: Check the Deadline date, and the Remaining (Estimated) Time Columns of Tasks That Are READY TO START, and Prioritise Them as Necessary. However, once a Task is Running, DO NOT judge The Remaining Time that it will take to Complete, by the Remaining (Estimated) Time Column. Some Tasks Count The Clock Upwards, giving the assumption that There is More Time remaining than there actually is. Some will Fluctuate Upwards & Downwards, and some will Count upwards for some time and then begin to Count Downwards. I have been told by someone in one of the Projects Message Boards, that this is how the Program works with the Project. However, I can't understand why that would be the case. I think it would be the actual current processing speed of the Computer showing the Calculated Time Remaining at the present time: similar to when you are Downloading or Installing a Program, or Update, and The Progress Fluctuates showing Various Times left (ie it might start at 1 Hour and count downwards to 30 minute very quicly, and then go slowly, and then show that there is 45 minutes remaining, and than jump down to 5 minutes: Hence the supposed Download Time of 1 Hour, may only take about 5 to 10 minutes). Anyway, try Prioritising the Tasks as I have described above. You may need to spend a bit of time in the longrun, but its not a case of sitting there constantly: Just check on whats happening occasionly, and treat this as you would any volunteer Work where you need to Use Your Computer. Good Luck.

Boinc runs the workunits on your pc in a 'first in first out' basis, meaning the first unit downloaded is the first unit crunched. This continues until it notices that some units are very close to their expiration date and then starts crunching at 'high priority' until all those tasks are gone. Over TIME Boinc WILL figure out how YOU want your projects to be run based on each projects settings, but this can take a while, sometimes MONTHS, if you have alot of projects that you are attached to. Boinc is designed to be a set it and let it run thing, the problems come in when we users set the caches too big and Boinc has to work thru it. If you have an always on internet connection, with no limits, then a smaller cache is better than a bigger one, just make sure you also have a backup project in case your primary one runs out of work for a day or so. You will notice in the Boinc Manager, down by the clock on your pc, if you open it andl ook under the Projects tab, a percentage for each project. This is how Boinc manages the units it gets and is adjustable on the webpage of each project. You can set a project as low as zero so it only gets units when no other projects on your list have units, or anywhere up to 100% depending on your own requirements and desires.
