Regardless of what I put in my preferences, it shows me that o.oo gb is available for use. Einstein also won't send the completed task I have and won't download any new work. Is something going on I am not aware of?

Disk space

Just checked and I made a mistake, I have no unreported completed tasks.

What did you put into your preferences?

What's the free space on your system and/or BOINC partition as reported by the operating system?

Well, problem solved,

Well, problem solved, uninstalled BOINC and reinstalled it then linked to Einstein again and it seems to be working just fine now.

I was showing over 13 GB available to BOINC, but for some reason it was not loading the work and expanding the needed space. I had listed it to use 20 GB and no more than 25% of total disk space.

That is most likely your problem if you think about it. You may have temporarily 'solved' the problem but it most likely will return.

My understanding is that the X% use of disk space means that (100-X)% must always remain free or else BOINC cannot use any more. So, if you had a 100GB partition where BOINC was installed with 75GB of free space, BOINC would not be able to use a single extra byte of that free space with the above preference setting.

Why do you need to cripple BOINC so much by forcing it to always have 75% free?

Cheers,
Gary.
