Different Processing Speeds, WTF?

    I have an AMD Athlon 64 3200+, 1GB RAM, etc....Why is this computer processing jobs in 5 hours, and my Celeron M 1.4 Laptop is doing jobs in 30 mins???
    Is this software built especially for intel processors, and AMD users are SOL or what?
